PROGRAMS

Kids want to learn, to have fun, and to experience caring relationships with other kids and the adults in their lives. The CREATE Project “Programs” are opportunities for kids and their families to come together to learn and share fun, nurturing, and relaxing arts-based experiences.  In each session, area artists, musicians, performers, tradition-bearers, child-field specialists, and others share their art-forms, knowledge, and practices. The CREATE Project “Programs” include after-school programs, inter-generational community programs, library programs, and small group events presented in a wide variety of community settings. Adults and kids interact one-on-one with each other in a nurturing, caring setting.  The sessions provide a space where kids, adults, families, and community members can bond with one another as they learn and experience different cultural traditions, art forms, music, child-rearing practices and more.

The CREATE Project helps facilitate understanding and sharing between community Tradition-Bearers and Child-field workers. Through these specially designed programs, both Tradition-Bearers and Child-field workers share their perspectives and practices with each other with the goal of creating a community that is free of child abuse and neglect, and where children are free to grow to their potential.

The CREATE Project’ offers intergenerational community programs, after-school, and library-based programs.

Note: After-school and Inter-generational community programs are temporarily suspended due to COVID.
