Creating works of art music, literature, performance; Word-of-Mouth; Casual conversation; Professional presentations; Newsletters; Newspapers; Magazines; Letters; Speeches; Classes; Workshops; Brochures; Radio; Public television; Signs; Internet Blogs; Video; Social Media posts (YouTube, Facebook, Tick Toc, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)
Where? Family gatherings; Meetings, Get-togethers; Formal and informal gatherings; Organizational, club, or business settings; School assemblies; Church functions . . .
Why? Child-trauma, abuse, and neglect affect everyone. Psychological, social, and physical impacts range from life-long health issues, job-instability, family dysfunction, poverty, alcoholism and substance abuse, violence, crime, emotional disorders, and more.
The CREATE Project is based on the idea that child trauma, abuse, and neglect are family and culture based problems, and require family and culture based solutions. We use contemporary, graphic, media, and traditional arts to inspire, educate, and catalyze communities towards positive change. As a grass-roots and art-based fellowship, we work in cooperation wit other professional organizations focused on the issues of child-trauma, abuse, and neglect.
